My name is Natalie and I am a marine science writer and infographics designer.
But I haven’t always called myself that.
At various points in my career, I’ve introduced myself as a science instructor, an aquaculture technician, a marine mammal observer, a scientific diver, and a fisheries biologist.
My work has led me to live aboard ships in the Arctic, spawn oysters in California, and measure close to a hundred scorpionfish in a single afternoon.
These experiences, while varied, shared a common thread. No matter what my title was, what agency I was working for, or what corner of the globe I found myself in — at some point I would always be required to explain science to non-science people.
And that became my favorite part of every job.
At Salty Copy, I leverage all of my experiences and channel them into copy that is well-researched, informative, and keeps your audience hooked.
I provide you with marine science copywriting and infographics that are accurate, up-to-date, and realized by someone who knows firsthand what ocean conservation looks like behind the scenes.
So, back to what I call myself. Let’s keep it simple:
My name is Natalie.
I am a writer and designer.
And together, I believe we can make a difference on this planet
